Both events are scheduled for Monday, May 21, 2018. The plane pull takes place at JFK airport and is a competition between police and military to see who can pull a plane faster over a set distance. 2017 New York Run
Another successful Half Marathon in Central Park was held in May 2017. 105 Runners from the UK Law Enforcement, in uniform, ran the Southern Loop of Central Park. Thanks to the NYPD Pipes and Drums for "piping" us into the Park for the start of the 2017 run! Thanks also to the Horse Carriages for once again telling the tourists who we are !! All Saints’ Church Cranham Children’s Charity Group chose JACK as their charity for 2017. The group presented JACK board member Mark Edwards, MBE, with a cheque for £2,000. Three Strohm Sisters Family Foundation partners law enforcement members to raise money to fund research into paediatric cancer. They hold an annual Gala in NY each year and honour specific members of law enforcement for individual efforts in their efforts to support such causes. 2017 Jet Blue Plane Pull
Thanks to our good friends at JetBlue, JACK borrows an Airbus A320 for the Annual Plane Pull at JFK as a fundraiser for JACK. Teams of Law Enforcement and the U.S Military take part against each other in timed ‘pulls’ to see who is the fastest at pulling the Airbus a set distance. Each Team consists of 12 members.
