Peter Terry QPM, BSC

I first became aware of Joining Against Cancer in Kids (j-a-c-k.org) when I was a serving officer in the Metropolitan Police back in 2013. At first I just attended the yearly fund raising event in New York, known as JACK’s Pack. The charity and the values it espouses (teamwork, selflessness, focus on others etc) struck a chord with me and I found myself getting more involved. In 2016 I was given the honour of becoming the Chair of the Board of Trustees leading a team of highly dedicated individuals in ensuring that every pound raised is focussed on the objectives of the charity. You can find more about these projects elsewhere on their website. In May 2019 I retired after over 33 years in policing but my commitment to j-a-c-k.org remains undiminished.
The charity couldn’t work without the hard work of all our of supporters, whether they be individual donors, JACK’s Pack members, the New York Police Department, helpers or corporate supporters (JetBlue, British Airways, the Kimberly Hotel), together with others too numerous to mention. The Trustees and I are massively grateful for every contribution. Our commitment is that we will strive to ensure that these are focussed on tackling the devastating effects of Neuroblastoma in the most effective and efficient manner possible.
